● The LYD1-L series decoupler adopts a modular structure and is connected in series between the front and rear two-stage lightning protectors. In accordance with IEC61643-1 and GB50343 standards, select the corresponding decoupler according to the load current of the circuit.
● The decoupler features excellent inductive characteristics against instantaneous high-energy lightning current, ensuring reliable operation of surge protectors during lightning strikes. If multiple stages of surge protectors are installed in the power grid, they will interact with each other, which means energy coordination must be realized among parallel protectors. The coordination effect is as follows: when a surge overvoltage caused by lightning occurs, Class B surge protectors will respond first to divert high-energy current, so as to ensure the normal response of other Class C or Class D surge protectors.
The LYD1-L series decouplers are installed in series in low-voltage power supply systems with a rated voltage of 500V and below. They are used to coordinate energy matching between two-stage surge protectors. As centralized inductive components for supplementing conductor length, they make up for insufficient wire length and optimize coordination between lightning protectors of different specifications.
It is typically applied where Class B and Class C lightning protectors are installed in the same distribution box. When the wiring length between voltage-switching type and voltage-limiting type lightning protectors is less than 10m, or the wiring length between voltage-limiting type lightning protectors is less than 5m, a decoupler shall be installed between the two stages of protectors.
