● The LYD1-R series integrates the short-circuit protection essential for SPDs into the SPD module, eliminating the need for additional fuses. It can be mounted on a standard 35mm DIN rail and offers the following advantages compared with the conventional fuse + SPD module configuration:
● Residual voltage is reduced by more than 50%. Separately installed fuses introduce inductance in the fuse itself and connecting wires, resulting in high residual voltage. With LYD1-R products, this residual voltage component is nearly eliminated, enabling more effective equipment protection.
● Easy installation and space-saving design reduce the installation cost of power distribution cabinets.
● Faster response speed and comprehensively improved overall performance.
● Advantage of N-position design: The discharge path for lightning current is minimized regardless of which pole is conducting, further reducing residual voltage.
● To prevent the failure of surge protective devices from affecting the safe operation of the power grid, a matching LYSCB backup protector must be connected in series at the front end of each pole of the SPD.
LYD1-R series is a new generation of professional protection device with built-in circuit breaker developed to meet user needs, used to suppress overvoltage, overcurrent and surges caused by induced lightning or other factors in the power supply network.
