● NPE adopts gas discharge tubes or air discharge gaps as the main executive components. Under normal conditions, it presents high resistance between electrodes. When surges occur in the power grid due to indirect or direct lightning strikes or other transient overvoltages, the electrodes conduct within nanoseconds to discharge surges to the ground, thus protecting equipment on the power grid. After the surge passes through NPE and disappears, NPE automatically restores to high resistance state without affecting the normal operation of the power grid.
N-PE Surge Protection Module (hereinafter referred to as SPD) is designed for the "3+1" line protection mode of TT systems, suitable for 50/60Hz AC power supply systems with a rated voltage of 380V. It is installed between the neutral line and PE equipotential system to protect against surges caused by indirect and direct lightning effects or other transient overvoltages. Combined with LYD1-C40 series surge protective devices, it forms combined SPDs such as 1P+NPE, 2P+NPE and 3P+NPE to improve surge immunity performance. In accordance with IEC61643-1:1998-02, it is a Class II SPD, Type C SPD. The product complies with GB18802.1/IEC61643-1 and other standards.

● NPE and LYD1-C series surge protective devices are combined into SPDs such as LYD1-40-1P+N, 2P+N and 3P+N, featuring common mode (MC) and differential mode (MD) protection.
● NPE is mounted on a 35mm standard DIN rail. The neutral line is connected with 2.5~35mm² wires, and the grounding wire adopts bicolor multi-strand copper wires of 6mm² or above with a length not exceeding 500mm.
