LYD1 Series Intelligent Surge Protective Device (Intelligent SPD) is a high-tech product independently developed by our company for "on-line monitoring of lightning protection". Intelligent SPD is suitable for power distribution systems in power, railway transportation, airports and ports, petrochemical, new energy, communications, environmental protection, water conservancy and other industries, realizing real-time monitoring of the operating status of users and Surge Protective Devices (SPD). The product complies with GB18802.1-2011, IEC61643-1 and other standards.

Working Principle

● SPD Degradation Monitoring: Monitors the signal of the SPD remote signal terminal, collects the signal uninterruptedly through its own acquisition system, and the system alarms within seconds when the signal is disconnected.

● Circuit Breaker / SPD Grounding Monitoring: Real-time monitoring of the open/closed status of the circuit breaker. The system alarms within seconds when the circuit breaker is open or when the SPD loses grounding.

● Lightning Strike Count Monitoring: Composed of built-in current sensor, signal processing circuit and electromagnetic counter. The current sensor is close to the grounding wire of the SPD. The induced current signal drives the electromagnetic counter to record the number of lightning strikes after amplitude limiting, rectification and filtering.
